The Manjarisoa project is a remarkable effort to restore 300 hectares of land in northeastern Madagascar's Toamasina region. This land has faced degradation due to deforestation and destructive practices. This substantial undertaking acts as a crucial carbon sink, sequestering around 78,643 tonnes of carbon over two decades. Beyond its environmental significance, it serves as a symbol of hope, demonstrating how dedicated reforestation efforts can combat climate change while preserving the region's ecological and societal resilience. Additionally, the project plays a vital role in safeguarding the region's endemic lemurs. In essence, Manjarisoa exemplifies the power of ecological restoration in the fight against climate change, securing our planet's future.

Our reforestation program's impact on biodiversity is profound and science-driven. We prioritize the protection of lemurs, one of the planet's most endangered primates, through meticulous tree species selection that restores their habitat. This process is rooted in extensive on-site studies conducted by expert scientists. Beyond lemurs, our project supports numerous other endemic species, including Eulemur fulvus fulvus, Eulemur rubriventer, Hapalemur griseus, Indri indri, Propithecus diadema, Varecia variegata variegata, and Varecia variegata editorium, all exclusive to Madagascar. Our rigorous plan involves planting native species to restore habitats, benefiting 6 lemur species, 6 frog species, 6 bird species, 2 snake species, 2 lizard species, and 3 small mammal species. These findings, based on expert field research, underscore our commitment to preserving Madagascar's unique biodiversity.

Our Manjarisoa reforestation project is grounded in scientific rigor, particularly regarding lemurs' habitat preservation and native tree species from Madagascar selection. We've methodically considered key factors like planting density, techniques, seed costs, and incubation periods. A 2-hectare nursery supports our endeavor to plant 200,000 trees. Our comprehensive reforestation plan is driven by a detailed cartographic study of the site's vegetation changes over the last decade. Among the carefully selected tree species are Ambora, Aramy, Harongana, Mantaly, Molanga, Rotra, Tafononana, Tavolo, and Vintanona are crucial for ecosystem restoration. This holistic approach aligns with our mission to combat deforestation, promote biodiversity, and secure a sustainable future for Manjarisoa's unique environment.
